Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-26
This policy sets out what you may and may not do with JoinedInbox. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Only connect mailboxes you are authorized to use
You may connect an email account to the service only if you own it, or are otherwise authorized by its owner to access it.
As a technical safeguard, whenever a mailbox is newly connected the service sends a notification email to that mailbox itself, describing when it was connected and from where — so if the connection was not authorized, the real owner finds out and can act on it. Attempting to defeat or suppress that notification is itself a violation of this policy.
If you are an account owner granting members access to mailboxes, you are responsible for ensuring those people are entitled to see that mail.
No unlawful content or use
You may not use the service to send, receive, store or otherwise handle content that is illegal, nor for any unlawful purpose. This includes, without limitation, content that infringes someone else's rights, harasses or threatens another person, or facilitates fraud.
No spam or bulk mail
JoinedInbox is a tool for handling your own correspondence. It is not a marketing, mailing-list or bulk-sending platform, and may not be used as one.
You may not use the service to send unsolicited commercial email, to send the same or substantially similar message to large numbers of recipients, or to send to addresses that were harvested or purchased rather than given to you.
The stop-request feature exists so that you can ask a sender to stop emailing you. It is a one-to-one opt-out tool. Using it, or any other feature, as a way to send mail in bulk is a violation of this policy.
Fair use of the infrastructure
The service fetches your mail automatically on a schedule. Manual refresh is provided for convenience and is rate-limited.
You may not attempt to circumvent those limits, script the interface to poll continuously, or otherwise consume a disproportionate share of the infrastructure that is shared with other customers. Excessive send volume, deliberate overloading, and probing or attacking the service or its other users are all prohibited.
No resale or unauthorized redistribution
You may not resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as if it were your own, without a written agreement with us. Team members under a Teams plan are of course not third parties for this purpose.
Violations
A violation of this policy is treated as a violation of the Terms of Service and may result in suspension or termination of the account, as described there. Where a violation is serious or ongoing we may act immediately.
Reports of suspected abuse can be sent to ernie@vaitex.co.uk. We investigate, may disconnect the affected mailbox, and preserve relevant logs as part of that process.
